I was bad, in a good way
So I got home yesterday thinking that I was going to write. Nope, not a word last night in Dark Sys.
Instead I cleaned. I took one look around my room and decided to pick up a little.
Then while I was at it I decided to find a better place for some stuff. Then since I had to make room I decided to go through some old paperwork and throw out stuff that was useless.
In the end I had done more cleaning than I had in months. Now all I have left is to clean the bird cages, vacuum and dust.
Unfortunately this means another day gone by with nothing to almost nothing done in Dark Sys. I might really have to crank it now if I still want to meet my goal of completing book 1 before I go back to school.
In Torn news I have had decent success in raising awareness of the book by posting in forums. I frequent a couple of online circles and by just letting those people know I have had more hits to the site in the past few days than I had in entire months past. I'm hoping that I can maintain this level of online interest while I figure out exactly how I am going to generate real world interest.
I'm also trying to figure out exactly how I want to do the business card thing. I would like some cards to hand out, but I think that putting them through an inkjet just won't look professional enough. I've been looking at vistaprint, but I can't bring myself to place an order yet. I also don't know if I want to upload the 'logo' because it's just a word in a scripty font. It costs $5 just to upload, and I don't know if a scripty font is worth it.
So I guess that's enough for now.

You can get 250 cards for free. The free ones saw vistaaprint on the back but hey, it's ftee!
Yeah, I had been thinking about that. And I've seen those free cards and the gray logo on the back is fine with me. I just wonder if it's ok to depart from my logo. The logo upload is five bucks even on those free cards. But I do like one design in particular, and if I decide to go that route it won't be so bad.
That's what I would recomend. Do your text over one of their designs.
ok, I'm playing around with those cards (again... I'm sure vista print is ready for me to order something already)

Thanks Rudicus. I had already been ading in the text on the free cards, but I'll take a look at the premium cards. If not me I'm sure you can find someone to use the discount. I'll let you know.
After looking through, Rudicus, I think I'll pass on the coupon. But thanks. The design I liked best is available in the free version, so I might as well.
Hope you can use it, or find somebody who likes a premium card more than the free ones.
