What to write about?
So yesterday I thought that I might write about the cop on a power trip who pissed me off. Or that I might write about the gal I saw while dancing who I could just tell was high maintenance and was flirting with one of the guys. I even thought I might complain about ongoing car problems.
But I won't.
Instead I'm going to say Happy Birthday to my mother.
My mom is a hard working person. She has been a waitress since before I was born, and I think that at this point that's all she will admit to being able to do without a computer (which she will not touch).
She raised two kids, and always tried to keep our goals simple. Do good in school and keep out of trouble. She had no ambitions of sports stars or world known lawyers. She just wanted us to do better than she had.
So for my Mother's birthday I want everybody to know how great she is. I think that admitting that to the world is probably one of the greatest gifts that she will probably never know about.
